Online registration for the half marathon is now OPEN.
The Healdsburg Wine County Half Marathon produced by Destination Races features a beautiful winding course through 22 wineries in the Alexander and Dry Creek Valleys at the conclusion of wine harvest when the vineyards are full of color! The course finishes at spacious Warm Springs recreation area at the base of Lake Sonoma for the Wine & Music Festival. The event is a celebration of wine harvest and Halloween and you know what that means! Dress in costume or colorful attire and smile for the camera! Like they say at the in France "If you believe sport is synonymous with health, fun and conviviality" then this race is for you! Come experience the closest thing to France's Marathon du Medoc that you can find in America. Bring your friends and family, get in the Halloween spirit and enjoy the journey! Its one you'll always relish!
Half Marathon Registration
This scenic and fun half marathon is designed for runners can complete the 13.1 mile course in 3 hours 30 minutes or less, a pace of 15:00 min/mile pace or better. NO casual walkers please due to time constraints. Destination Races produces high-quality, boutique-style events and our scenic courses can only handle a limited number of runners. By limiting the number of entrants we make sure our customers receive the best destination running experience possible and lessen our impact on roads and neighborhoods which are sensitive to traffic on wine county back roads. This half marathon is limited to 2,200 entries.
Team Registration
You may also enter as a team of 6 or more runners in the team category and save $5 off registration while competing for both individual and team awards. Your team captain must first register your team and assign a team name and password for all team members to use while registering. Teams may be any combination of men and women. The best five times count towards the team’s cumulative total. Women receive a 10 minute time handicap. Please make sure you have a minimum of six or more runners before registration closes. If you do not have 6 members on your team prior to sellout then your team will be voided, and a transfer fee of $10 will be applied to move you to the individual category.
Great Pumpkin Run for Kids
Francis Ford Coppola Winery in Geyserville and Parkpoint Athletic Club are hosting a Kids Pumpkin Run and other activities after the Wine & Music Festival from noon to 4pm at Francis Ford Coppola Winery. The race is for children ages 4 to 10 dressed in costume. Three categories of ages will run in different races of distances up to 1/4 mile around the vineyards. Each child will receive an event shirt and special goodie bag filled with healthy Halloween treats and other prizes and offers from local merchants. Sign your child up online on the registration page. Limited to 100 entries.
Elite Runner Registration:
If you are an elite runner please email your running resume to: raceinfo@destinationraces.com for request of elite status. We have a limited number of elite spots available. If approved, you will need to mail or email your elite entry form and waiver.
Awards:
Top three finishers in each age category win a bottle of wine! The top 3 finishers overall win cash and prizes. 1st place woman and man receive the following: $500 cash, a Ball Watch, and a double magnum of wine (total value $3,500). 2nd place: $250 cash, and a magnum of wine. 3rd Place: $100 cash, a certificate for shoes and a magnum of wine.
