Transportation

Buses will be provided to and from the race start from various locations. View the transportation page for more detailed information.

Timing & Results

The race is chip timed to provide accurate and fair results. Runners will receive a chip and gun time in the results. Top overall finishers are based on gun time, all other finisher results will use chip time.

Gear Check

A gear check area is provided at the start area for runners to place their warm-ups and other items in the bag provided by race staff. Write your bib number and name on the bags and they will be transported to the finish area for pickup. Any items left at the event will be donated to charity after 14 days.

Weather

October temperatures are usually very moderate and pleasant during the day and sunshine is the norm. The race start time temps can be chilly (high 40's to low 50's) but should warm quickly once the sun rises. The afternoon high temps can range from the 60's to 80's but your race time temperatures will likely be cool so bring extra clothing to the start which you can check in at bag check. There will be plenty of running and casual clothing items for sale at the expo and post-race festival.

Medical

Medical support is provided at the start line, finish line and on-course. EMT services are on stand-by. Please train, prepare and hydrate for the race to best avoid suffering medical complications. Heat exhaustion, dehydration and chaffing/blisters are the most common medical ailments suffered by runners.

Course Rules

All runners MUST wear a race bib registered in their name and visible to race officials. We have no space or tolerance for “bandits”.  If you are not a registered runner please do not attempt to run the race, or you will be removed in unceremonious fashion.

Music headphones are allowed but you must keep the volume down so you can hear vehicle traffic and voice instruction. If you are not able to hear or obey law enforcement voice commands you will be pulled from the course and DQ’d.

Baby strollers are allowed but you must start at the back of the pack and take extra precaution crossing intersections and when passing runners. Dogs or bikes are not allowed on the race course due to the limited space and sold-out field.
