For example, we take Google. its main domain is www.google.co.in but when google launched google Maps, for this, the subdomain of google.co.in was used. You can open Google Maps by going to https://maps.google.co.in/maps.Now many Google sites are running on Google's Subdomain -

Apart from this, some people create websites in many languages, this site is different but they are interlinked with subdomains, for example, we talk about Wikipedia, main domain of Wikipedia is www.wikipedia.org but Articles are written in many languages on it so here the subdomain is made according to the language.so that they do not mix with each other.

  • For English - en.wikipedia.org
  • For Hindi - hi.wikipedia.org

Here the name of Wikipedia was also not changed and according to the language many websites have also been created which can be managed separately.
